Ok posted just recently, an image of wave 2 of the CPK (Cell Phones Kill) series of DIY resin figures. They look pretty good to me, but the coolest part is they mention something about another surprise coming... hmmmm... also it looks like if you submit your designs, they'll start posting em on the blog! Who knows what else is coming...!?
Every now and again I see an outrageously well-done custom show up at Custom Toy Lab (CTL) and have to post about it here, so that none of you will miss out on the good artistry. :D The latest is a Labbit by Squidboy (aka Shawn Michael Evans). I just love the loose painted/doodled look of his designs. The child like doodles, the chunky painted colors all mixed up with the elaborately "stamped" lettering spelling out what seems to be "Jannie"... Just an awesome collage of colors and styles. Perfectly done, IMO.
Aujourd'hui, j'ai repris le visage de ma belle aux bains. Je le trouvais trop rond, j'ai aussi cherché à trouver le bon volume des cheveux. J'ai aussi repris la ligne épaule - sein côté bassin. Maintenant, je vais devoir retravailler et préciser les cheveux, et il y a aussi un truc qui me gêne dans le visage, c'est le haut du nez, la partie entre les yeux et les sourcils, qui a l'air trop plate. Je retoucherai tout ça dès demain. Mais, pour le moment, on en est là:
J'ai également remis sur le grill «Endormie» qui me semblait trop froide. J'ai donc recouvert toute la partie du corps d'un glacis un peu chaud. Et je n'ai pas pu m'empêcher de mettre quelques touches de blanc supplémentaires là où ça me semblait manquer, de reprendre le vase, le nounours, les livres, les draps et le polochon…

]]>J'ai repris ma Belle aux bains dormant. Elle était toute écorchée. Un accident de stockage, de séchage mal organisé. Je n'ai pas vu qu'elle prenait appui sur une autre peinture et voilà ! quel gâchis !
Alors, pour mémoire, vais vous montrer comment elle était, avant l'accident.
Les dégâts:
J'ai donc commencé par essayer de retoucher ces traces blanches. C'est pas simple, la peinture est complètement partie, il y a donc comme un trou dans une épaisseur de couleurs superposées… il faudra plusieurs passages de couleurs pour réparer tout ça et je ne suis pas sûre d'y arriver sans que ça ne laisse des traces. Je ferai de mon mieux.
Et il est arrivé quelque chose d'incroyable… elle s'est réveillée ! Vous ne me croyez pas, hein ? Et pourtant, si je vous le dis…

Ca me fait bien rire d'avoir déclaré recemment que j'en avait marre des "sempiternelles recherches fébriles et desordonées d'etudiant en graphisme".
Décidement c'est une sale manie hein !
On commence 60 trucs et on finis jamais rien, ca je connais... D'autant que je travaille sur un site internet qui me prends beaucoup de temps, donc peude temps pour bricoler à la mian, alors que c'est mon plus grand souhait de revenir à la main...
C'est d'ailleurs assez marrant... Certains rêvent de toujours en savoir plus sur la technologie, toujours découvrir de nouveau programmes, de nouveaux sites, et autres gadgets et machines en tout genre, alorsque d'autre rêvent de revenir au "fait-main"...
Enfin bref, entre deux balises HTML et deux DIV CSS, voila trois collages réalisés a partir d'etiquettes diverses, bonbons, etiquettes d'eau, de bières...
Et finalement le resultat est très interessant; vu la quiche que je suis en couleur, les avoir deja harmonisées c'est quand même bîen pratique !!!!!!!
Enfin bref ce patient travail de destructuration / reconstruction / abstraction promet pas mal, il faudrait maintenant que j'approfondisse et que je complexifie, que je travaille avec plus de matières, plus de couleurs ...
Enfin bon, je dis ca a chacun de mes boulots ....

I sometimes get so caught up in trying to be good in the eyes of God. I find myself so preoccupied with my own inner behavior that I lose sight of what God has called me to do first and foremost- proclaim the Gospel.
I justify this by thinking that there is no way that I can be used by God to witness to others until I clean up all of the garbage within myself. The truth is, if I wait until I am personally “holy”, I will never be of any use to God here on earth. God is very interested in reaching and saving His lost children, yet I am more interested in how He can make me more pleasing in my own eyes.
Father God, forgive me for my selfishness and pour into me your passion and urgency to proclaim the Gospel of Salvation through Jesus Christ.
